Some bridge pics-ongoing projectThose who know me are aware that I just love going back to the same subject time and again and again. I love looking at things through fresh eyes and figuring out how to capture the essence of a structure using less information. Simple is often beautiful.

Matt, you are right, simple is often beautiful. I like the 3rd one best by far. I think the contrast in directional shapes from the foreground to the background make this shot. I wish I had more time to get out and about shooting

I love the detail in #1 - especially given the fact you had a whole range of black tones to bring out and succeeded, thus giving the rich detail that the image (and the structure) deserve, but ![]() #2 - Better than #1 for me and again a beautiful exercise in bringing out the subtle tones in an image. You've kept all the detail without making the image look unnatural #3- Saving the best for last. Awesome shot. This is what I love about viewing the work of others. There is nothing that gives me greater pleasure (well almost nothing) than that ah-hah moment when you see the creative vision of another give a different spin on the familiar. You've achieved that to perfection in this one. Interestingly this image is completely disconnected from it's subject (it could have been taken anywhere), yet succeeds because of the lovely geometrical qualities of the bridge superstructure. This is one you can come back to again and again. Thanks for these. Peter
