Thought I'd post this one since a lot of you guys are native to Sydney - also chasing some opinions on how I could have made the shot better... I only had my 50mm with me, and it was raining as well; I still wish I had my tripod with me...

Comments welcome.

it looks a little washed out. Maybe some pp, increase saturaton, change the colour balance a little. But i do like it, it would make a good pano. were you on an aircraftat the time, it sure is a funny angle!

It's not a bad spot you found there - really good for the NYE fireworks...

Looks like at least one building's been finished since last year!...

Now, here would be an interesting spot for us to meet up at sometime - perhaps then moving on around the heads back to the city?

Thanks for sharing!

Nice shots mate - my uncle did mention something about fireworks when I was standing there in the rain! :D

A meet there would be great - if only I lived in Sydney rather than the comparitively flat and boring Perth ;)

A beautiful image. Perfectly captured. I like the subdued lighting.

Spartikus,

great photo. You used the 50mm ! Cool.
I would play a bit with saturation and contrast or curves.
I'd also look into straightening the horizon.
But I'm also quite anal at times.

Cheers,
