Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

I took a pic of albino peacock the other day at the wildlife park. I think it has some potential, but a white bird against a dark background is pushing my meagre PP skills...
I thought if I could find somewhere to put the NEF or at least a high quality JPG, some of you might want to have a go at it. Any suggested homes?
The original NEF (resized and converted to jpg):
My 5 minute PP effort (I rarely spend more than 10 minutes on PP, if I don't like by then, I never will):

What's not to like?
I think that was 5 minutes well spent John. It's come up a treat.

John
I all you want is to give someone access to the file, zip it and then upload it to pixspot! While this sounds weird it works. When they click on the icon of the zip file, it will download for them
See two samples below, first takes you to the page, second is a simpler version that starts an immediate download:
http://www.pixspot.com/displayimage.php?album=31&pos=0
http://www.pixspot.com/albums/userpics/Audio.zip
Neat trick huh
Edit: Not sure if Pixspot has an upload size limit

Good idea Stubbsy, but I didn't want to do that. Poor Kristine's bandwidth is abused enough already. However, if she gives permission, that's another story

JUst checked Pixspot:
The size of files uploaded from your client to the server should not exceed 1024 KB each
Nice idea while it lasted

You should be able to upload it to PixSpot if it is zipped - if you have any problems just let me know.

Thanks Kristine, I'll do it tonight. I didn't want to dump such a big file there without your permission.

Hi Johndec
If you want, I'm setting up a teacher forum board and while it is being established, I have plenty of unused bandwith at the moment.
PM me if you are interested and I'll give you an email address to send the nef file to. I'll then upload it and then provide the link here for all D70 members.
This applies to anyone else who wants to donate an image for members to play with.
Cheers
Graham

I tried twice, but it wouldn't accept it Seeing as bago100 has some bandwidth laying around, I'll give him a yell. Maybe we can get a bit of a "Fix My Pic" forum going...

Did the zipped file exceed the 1 Mb limit?

Yes, but judging by Kristine's reply earlier in the thread I assumed it didn't apply to zipped files....
