Adelaide - Rumsfeld Rally

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

While definately polite and a good thing to do if possible you do not need to ask permission to shoot and publish shots like this due to their editorial nature... you are documenting an event and these images are not being used to endorse a product or a point of view..

pedantics aside... some great shots there! Well done! definately a "movement" happening there :D

The most secure computer in the world is one not connected to the internet. Thats why I recommend Telstra ADSL.

They ended up protesting again today outside of the town hall but I was photographing the Adelaide Classic Rally in the southern hills...there were some interesting people representing a huge cross section of society. They were united in their feeling of the unjust war and how our political representatives were acting like puppets..
Whilst I was there, I was fortunate enought to run into a few photo journos who had been embedded in Iraq. Their stories need to be told!!!

I like the last photo, it captures the spirit well. I think a little fill to brighten up the people would help as well.
I got caught in the middle of Victoria Square/Grote St yesterday when the cavalcade of secret service, police & rummy stopped traffic and drove by at 80km/h. Quite surreal to see in Adelaide.. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me.

It sicken me that Rumsfeld will not supply decent armored vehicles to his troops in Bagdad, the most dangerous city in the world, but he has his own personal armored motorcade flown into Adelaide to protect himself!

The man is a coward.

I do not support the war in Iraq but I do support the poor bloody troops risking their lives for this creeps money and glory.

Rant over

cheers doug

Chris,
He's also in the loop!
This trip of Rumsfeld to Australia is to seek the way of substitution our Aussie's blood for the Yanks in heavy casualties with their b...shit war on terror, and our Johnny signed a blank cheque for them long ago!

Now, In what we trust????????????????????
