first impressions?what are your first impressions of this photo? before you look at in more detail and all, i want to know what are your initial impression when u first lay your eyes on the image? just want different types of thoughts on this one, for someting different. i know it has a lot of OOF area on it, but i dont mind that.

When I first look at it I noticed the red OOF area. Then I was searching for anything that was in focus and noticed a tiny bit of the white petals. I'm not sure if this is what you were tryin to achieve or not, but it's what I did first.

The first impression i got was the contrast of colours. Then my eyes wandered all over the photograph but predominantly in the white area.

I think you have to search too much for its meaning. This kind of photo should jump out and bite you on the nose. I think if the petal on the left had more definiton and was bigger and finely in focus, this could have worked.

they were the kind of comments i was looking for, thanks guys! i think that was the very first photo i had taken with the D50. i had never really thought about posting it, because of all the OOF, but was a bit bored so why not.
