I'm a big fan of the LSII as well, but I was just wondering (Scott or anyone else) do u find that u can only have the flash pointing up (vertical) OR horizontal? With my flash unit, if I try and have it from anywhere from horizontal to vertical, the weight of it forces it to drop horizontally... Geoff

Yep... I have that problem as well... but really only with the dome on...

So Scott, u overcome this by not using the dome I assume? Geoff

well the only time I use the dome is direct flash (so 90 degrees)
whenever I bounce I put the flash card up on the sb-80dx and take the dome off so I get Roof_bounce + direct through tupperware... so in a word yes... I find LSII through the dome and then off a roof= bugger all light getting to the subject... and light bounce off the roof is already fairly diffuse... New page

Nice shot Scott. The curve of the bench nicely frames the portrait. Enjoy them while their young for they grow up quickly.
Birddog I'm overwhelmed each time I look at the number of posts under your belt. Amazing! Have you any of the new LS11's available. I'm keen to get one ASAP for a friend's portfolio i've got to shoot shortly? cheers marco
