Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Very nice and sharp. The colours are very punchy. Did you do any PP to these pics?

I cannot view the first one (just a little red cross), but the second is a beauty :D Nice and sharp and lovely colour. The lens doesn't look to be half bad.

Thanks for the kind comments, MHD. :-) Although I'm sure that the top Nikon glass simply can't be beaten for complete image quality and features, I've been quite satisfied with the performance of my Sigma lenses. Even the little 70-300 macro super II is a pretty nice lens, considering that it only costs $200US. 8)

Thanks, Piro. :-)

Yes, I almost always do PP to my stuff. It's a habit I picked up many years ago when I got my first digicam, a 2mp Sony. :?

Thanks for the kind comments. :D Sorry for the inconvenience on the first image. Pbase is experiencing growing pains at the moment. I put the direct links in the post to try to provide an alternative. I should have mentioned that. :(

I'm quite pleased with the lens. 8) I'm currently trying to decide on a fisheye. The 8mm Sigma is quite tempting, but I don't know if it's up there with the Nikkor 10.5 in sharpness. Seems like the Sigma isn't a very popular fisheye, which might be an indication of performance issues.

#2 - WOW :!: I love it. I am always impressed by your ability as a photographer Kerry, especially your eye for composition. BTW - were these taken recently? A blue sky! From what I hear, it seems to have been raining constantly for a while now (or is that a bit further to the east of you?)

Thank you very much for the great compliment. :D
